line Anointing

Do you take anointing seriously?

Many professing Christians do not. In fact, many have never even heard of the practice of anointing the sick with oil. It seems that when most Christians become ill or injured, they call upon doctors before (and sometimes even instead of) calling upon the elders of the church.

If more Christians did take seriously the ministry of anointing and prayer, they would be sick less often, recover more quickly, experience occasional healings, and also be forgiven of those sins which caused their ailments in the first place.

God calls you to take anointing seriously:

“Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” (James 5:14-16)
