line Generations

Do you take generations seriously?

Many professing Christians do not. While most seem to have some place in their busy lives for occasional visits from the grandparents, and while most would like to see their children succeed in life, it seems that there are few who appreciate and operate according the the multi-generational family model which is revealed in scripture.

If more Christians did operate according to this model, they would be thankful for their family heritage and seek to preserve it by honoring their ancestors, caring for aging parents, preparing an inheritance (i.e., spiritual and financial) for their children’s children, and endeavoring to secure God’s covenant blessings for generations to come.

God calls you to take generations seriously:

For made this multi-generational covenant promise to our father in the faith, “I will establish my covenant between me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you.” (Genesis 17:7)
