line Modesty

Do you take modesty seriously?

Many Christians do not. In fact, while Christians used to be the most modestly dressed people in society, they have unfortunately come to be completely unrecognizable as saints when compared to all the haughty and half-naked seductresses of this world.

If more Christians did take modesty seriously, they would remember that God created clothing to cover their nakedness, realize how often their immodesty ignites the lust of others, repent of their impudent indifference, and replace most of their wardrobe.

God calls you to take modesty seriously:

For “whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart…” therefore let “the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works.” (Matt. 5:28 and 1 Tim. 2:9-10)
