Purity

line Purity

Do you take purity seriously?

Many Christians do not. While most do indeed plan on remaining virgin until their wedding day, the sad statistics prove that the vast majority of evangelical and catholic Christians will fornicate before marriage.

If more Christians did take purity seriously, they would not only talk more openly about human sexuality and temptation in their homes, but they would also take very practical measures to protect the sexual purity of children (e.g., knowing who their friends are, forbidding attendance at unchaperoned social events, monitoring phone calls, emails, and texts, etc.).

God calls you to take purity seriously:

“For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality…” “It is good for a man not to touch a woman…” “Flee sexual immorality…”  “Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.”  (1 Thess. 4:3; 1 Cor. 7:1, 6:18; Heb. 13:4)
